Spinal Decompression
HEALS the Discs and in Most Cases Prevents Painful Surgeries!
Relieve Your Spine, Relieve Your Pain
Spinal decompression therapy or “Traction” is an FDA-Cleared treatment for lower back and leg pain that actually HEALS the discs and prevents painful surgeries in most cases! Research points to the beneficial effects of traction because it gently reduces pressure on joint surfaces and discs, allowing the body to regain its proper alignment.
Traction therapy is a light, gentle stretch for soft tissue muscles and helps joints regain proper function. By stimulating sensory mechanoreceptors (the body’s pressure sensors), spinal decompression technology brings relief from many painful conditions.

Spinal Decompression is a Highly Effective, Non-Surgical Therapy Option
Spinal decompression is non-surgical, non-invasive, and typically does not involve pain medications. The treatment is not only safe and painless but comfortable and relaxing.
The patient is fitted into a support system to stabilize the body. Next, the advanced traction control system gently pulls the spine without pain or discomfort. Our two spinal decompression tables allow us to gently separate the vertebrae from each other. This creates a vacuum inside the discs promoting the diffusion of water, oxygen, and other nutrient-rich fluids from the outside of the discs to the inside.
Over time, the results of this therapy are quite dramatic in healing disc injuries in the neck and lower back. Car accident and whiplash patients find this treatment therapy incredibly effective in helping them to heal quickly. Typical treatments last from 20-60 minutes.
Specialized Care To Meet Individual Needs
While inversion tables can be a great maintenance tool at home they don’t provide focus to the specifically injured region. Before doing this treatment we test our patients to determine the best position and location to provide release. A comprehensive evaluation is performed with each new patient to determine their individual needs. It may be determined in the exam that other treatments in the office could assist in the relief of nerve compression or tissue damage. Chiropractic adjustments are foundational to treatment and other anti-inflammatory therapies such as Laser therapy, Shockwave, and Pulsed Electromagnetic therapy may be used.
